MUSCAT: A new group of Omani male and female citizens holding general education (GED) and post-GED diplomas, joined the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on Sunday after successfully completing the evaluation and acceptance phases in coordination with the Ministry of Labour.

The new police recruits will receive training at the Police Recruits Institute and the Women’s Police Institute at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences. They will undergo training on police work and fundamental skills and receive legal courses and academic education on handling security situations as well as practical applications of different police tasks.
